The Three Main Principles of Homeopathy: A Journey into Holistic Healing

My journey into homeopathy wasn’t just about finding an alternative to conventional medicine—it was about discovering a gentler, more intuitive approach to healing. I wanted something that worked with the body, not against it.

Like many, I came to homeopathy through lived experience, navigating my own health challenges and questioning what truly fosters deep, lasting wellness. I trained at Nature Care College in Sydney, earning my Bachelor in Homeopathic Medicine, and later expanded my studies into metaphysical healing, weaving together science and soul.
Homeopathy has been evolving for over 200 years, dating back to Dr. Samuel Hahnemann, who questioned the harsh treatments of his time and sought a more harmonious way of working with the body. His discoveries led to a system of healing that remains relevant and deeply transformative today.

1. The Law of Similars (Like Cures Like)
This principle is the heart of homeopathy—the idea that a substance causing symptoms in a healthy person can, when carefully prepared, help someone experiencing similar symptoms.
It’s not about suppressing illness but about stimulating the body’s own healing response.
Take Allium Cepa, made from onion—it’s known for causing watery eyes, sneezing, and irritation (think of how your eyes sting when chopping an onion). Homeopathy uses this same remedy for hay fever, because its symptom picture matches. It’s like whispering to the body: "You already know how to navigate this. Let me remind you how."

2. The Principle of Minimum Dose
Homeopathy follows the laws of energy rather than brute force. Through potentisation, remedies are diluted and shaken—a process called succussion, which amplifies their energetic resonance while minimising side effects.
This aligns with my belief that less is often more, especially when it comes to healing. There’s power in subtlety, in choosing a remedy that works with the body’s rhythm, rather than forcing a response.
Some of the most profound transformations I’ve seen come from the gentlest doses, chosen with precision to support the person—not just the symptoms.

3. The Whole Person Approach
Homeopathy isn’t just about what’s wrong—it’s about who you are as a whole being.
The body speaks in layers, revealing its imbalances through physical sensations, emotions, thought patterns, and even the way energy moves through daily life.
When I work with clients, I don’t just focus on the ailment—I look at what the body is expressing, how it has been signalling imbalance over time, and how the person’s inner world interacts with their physical reality.
Healing, for me, is about empowerment—helping people recognise their patterns, learn their body’s language, and feel confident steering their own well-being.
How I Work with Clients
Healing is a journey beneath the surface, where symptoms aren’t just issues to be fixed but messages to decode.
I help clients uncover the themes running through their health, teaching them to see cycles, connections, and how their body’s wisdom speaks.
Homeopathy isn’t just a system of medicine—it’s a way of listening, attuning to the body’s intelligence, and allowing it the space to transform.
I invite you to explore its depths, subtleties, and radical potential—with curiosity and an open heart.

Warmest,
Martine
