2026 Chakra Immersion Resources

I chose pyrite in a moon shape for our Base Chakra work this year because the energy we’re

moving through isn’t about heavy anchoring or survival mode grounding. It’s about a

steadiness that still allows intuition, softness, and responsiveness. Pyrite normally carries a

strong, structured, almost solar quality, but when it’s carved into a moon it shifts — it

becomes grounding that doesn’t shut down sensitivity, protection that doesn’t harden the

field, strength that still listens. It holds the body while keeping the intuitive channels open,

which is exactly the kind of baselevel stability we need for the year ahead.

Pyrite also has a long relationship with material flow — not in the superficial “money stone”

sense, but in the deeper way it supports clarity, confidence, and right action in the physical

world. It helps you feel safe enough to make decisions, to move, to claim space, to trust your

instincts around resources. It’s the kind of prosperity that begins in the nervous system: when

the base is steady, the flow follows. The moon shape softens this even further, turning it into

a kind of intuitive prosperity — the ability to sense what’s aligned, what’s wasteful, what’s

yours to hold, and what’s ready to move.

Obsidian came in as the companion stone because it works through movement. It clears as

you walk, breathe, shift, and engage with life. A tumble stone is meant to be carried, not

placed on an altar — it’s grounding that travels with you, clearing the static and emotional

residue that accumulates through the day. Pyrite stabilises; obsidian releases. Together they

create a base field that is both rooted and mobile, protective and fluid.

And with the Full Moon rising here in the Southern Hemisphere, the timing couldn’t be more

aligned. While the Northern Hemisphere is lifting into spring, we’re entering the autumnal

descent — the part of the year where the body naturally turns toward grounding,

embodiment, and the deeper layers of the base. This Full Moon illuminates what needs

stabilising and what needs releasing. Pyrite holds the illumination; obsidian helps the letting

go. It’s a perfect pairing for a moon that asks us to stand in our bodies with clarity while

shedding what no longer belongs.

The Pink Moon is the April Full Moon, and its energy is all about renewal, clarity, and the

soft but unmistakable shift into a new cycle. It’s named after the early spring wildflower

phlox in the Northern Hemisphere, but its symbolism translates beautifully here in the South:

illumination, balance, and the gentle release of what the body no longer needs as we move

into our own autumnal descent. This moon highlights the places where life wants to rebalance

itself — relationships, resources, boundaries, and the way we hold ourselves in the physical

world. It brings a sense of emotional clarity, a settling of the nervous system, and a reminder

that new growth doesn’t always look like expansion; sometimes it looks like refinement,

grounding, and choosing what truly supports us.

I’m keeping my pyrite in the car because the car is one of the most literal expressions of the

Base Chakra in modern life — movement, direction, autonomy, physical presence in the

world. I have always said the car is an extension of the physical vessel… Having pyrite there

creates a field of protection, clarity, and grounded decision making in the place where we’re most exposed to other people’s energy. It’s grounding that moves with me, not grounding that stays at home.
