Homeopathic Medicines

Homeopathic medicines, known as remedies, are derived from repeated dilutions of natural substances. These medicines are effective and strong but have no toxic or addictive effects, thus making them ideal for babies and children. They are effective and safe for the whole family even pregnant women.

There are thousands of remedies that the homeopath can use. Homeopathic treatment is based on the principle that what can cause disease in a healthy person, can also remove it in the sick.

These remedies act like a key, unlocking the body’s own defenses and immune system to respond appropriately.

Finding the right key is the job of the homeopath. Carefully selected questions and a solid family, medical and personal history provide the homeopath with the tools to select the remedy most needed for the individual.

Remedies also come in varying potencies. When homeopathy remedies are made, they undergo a very specific process of preparation which includes both vigorous shaking (which is called succussing) and repeated and accurate dilution (which is called potentisation). The more you dilute and succuss a remedy, the more potent it becomes.

As well as selecting a remedy, the homeopath must select a potency as well as frequency of dosage. These treatments will be as individual as the patient himself/herself, as many considerations are taken into account.

The practitioner aims to work with you unraveling the layers back to health, much like peeling off the layers of an onion. This may occur with just one remedy over a period of time or a few remedies. Homeopathy does not interfere with prescription drugs or other medications.
